Ha tien to chau doc

can anyone tell me how you can travel from Chau Doc khổng lồ Ha Tien? Is it possible lớn travel by boat?

My husband & I will be traveling in the Mekong in May, with a Vietnamese friend. We would prefer not to lớn book any planned tours. Instead we want lớn try making plans as we go.

Basically we want khổng lồ get from Can Tho khổng lồ Ha Tien, hopefully via thân phụ Doc. We would lượt thích to take our time, và hopefully travel by boat, motor bike, bus if we have to.

Any tips would be most welcome.

May is quite hot here & wet too but you have no problem in finding hotels & some land services.

If you have khổng lồ go this way from Chau Doc to lớn Hatien, there are some routes to go but you 'd rather take the highway along Vinh Te canal (90km) và 1 & half hours to lớn get khổng lồ Hatien. Very good road & see beautiful scenery along the border. Motorbike is real adventure. No Boat on this canal, public bus is too poor condition and no A/c.

Didn't take a speedboat to cantho from Saigon but heard some people says it is boring & longer than bus.

Tips: Bring repellent with you for mekong trip in wet season

Hi, I'm curious about this as well. Vì you know where I can find a reliable motobike driver for the trip from Chau Doc to Ha Tien? Also, how long is the trip. I'm trying to catch a 1pm ferry, just wondering what time I need to lớn leave Chau Doc to lớn get khổng lồ Ha Tien in time for the ferry.

ask your khách sạn to arrange motorbike trip for you. 02 hrs or 03 if you make more stop for pics

I know a few people who have done the route Chau Doc to lớn Ha Tien on a motorbike.Those riding their own bike generally enjoyed it,those on the back of a moto generally didn't,especially if they had a big backpack.It's quite a long way,and the roads aren't the best.I think your decision to take the bus is probably a wise one!I did the trip on a local bus-true-there's no A/C,but it was alright as long as you are not in a hurry.Unfortunately I don't think Mai Linh covers this route,but I'm sure there are shared minibuses ,I know there are the other way round,i.e. Ha Tien to Chau Doc.
